Amazing Grace Stable is located in Carrollton, Virginia and is open to all disciplines of riding.  Nardeen Henderson and her daughter, Ryann Winn are the owners.

The word "GRACE" means with God's favor and mercy, and without Him we do not feel this venture would be possible.  We are thankful for how God is working in our lives.

Fifteen years ago, Nardeen's late husband Chuck found the land on Titus Creek Drive through John Akers, a longtime friend. Nardeen and her partner put a contract in on the land, only to be sadly disappointed when they could not get a clean title. The title search showed that the land belonged to the heirs of a man who had been a slave and the land was given to him by his owner. When he died he left it to his two daughters. Only one of the daughters could be accounted for. John advised us to pursue finding out about the "missing" daughter. Our attorney's secretary, spent many hours at the Isle of Wight Courthouse and was able to discover that the "missing" daughter died at the age of twelve and left no heirs.  I will always be grateful for the time and effort put into that discovery, and to John for his advice and encouragement to keep pursuing it.  We then had to find all the heirs. After about a year of searching, they were accounted for and all signed the necessary paper work.  It was quite a project, which required a lot of faith and a lot of prayers !

Nardeen's mother, "Mother Dear"  prayed and prayed for this situation.  "Mother Dear's" real name was GRACE, but she was called Mother Dear by everyone who knew her. She definitely had a direct link to the Lord.  People often came to her with prayer requests. Everyday Mother Dear encouraged Nardeen that this situation was going to work out, and she always backed it up with scripture from the Bible.  We recently found a letter in her Bible from Nardeen thanking her for her prayers and faith. Ryann has also received confirmation from God's word in the Bible regarding the barn and the "land."

For a long time I've known that I wanted the name Grace in the name of the barn - because of the above reasons and because of something that happened to me this winter.  I was visiting my friend Caroline in Florida. Early one morning - around 6:00 a.m.- I was in my room praying and reading my Bible. One of my prayers was for the Lord to help us come up with a name for the barn. When I started reading the Bible the scriptures were all about GRACE.  Well - the home telephone rang - which was odd - because most people call Caroline on her cell phone not the home phone.  And it was also odd because it was so early in the morning.  Later that morning I was in the kitchen with Caroline and we were drinking coffee and reading our e-mails.  One of my e-mails was a daily devotional I get from Joel Osteen Ministry and it too was all about GRACE !  So, I told Caroline that it looked like somehow the barn was going to have the name GRACE in it because God kept giving me confirmation with the word GRACE.  With that, Caroline got up, picked up the house phone, and brought it over to me and showed me the caller ID of the person who called at 6:00 a.m. The name was GRACE !!!   Right about the time I was praying for an answer for a name for the barn !!!  Isn't God AMAZING !!!  He showed me in three different ways that morning to use GRACE in the name.  Ryann and I decided to add AMAZING because of just how AMAZING our God is.
