A few pictures from Wellington, Florida

Gracie and I went over to the show grounds today to see the final show of the fall season at the Littlewood Show Grounds, which now belongs to WEF.  We went on the golf cart so we drove through the WEF show grounds which are under complete construction which amazes me because it was already PERFECT.  But they are busy as can be making all kinds of improvements.

Anyway, we went all around the place, and over to Grand Prix Village where all the incredible horse farms are.  They don't look like barns, they look like mansions or five star hotels.  It's overwhelming.  And throughout the entire village are the most beautifully landscaped, perfect,  "bridle trails" for the horses to ride on to go to the show grounds.  It's a nice little hack over as their warm up and a nice little hack back as their cool down.  There is nothing like this anywhere.  It's like being at Azalea Gardens or Busch Gardens (but much better) for horses.  I'm telling you - if you get the chance you need to come to Wellington - and be certain to go to Grand Prix Village because there are no words to describe it.  My camera battery died while I was over there but I'm going to try and go back tomorrow and get some more pictures.

When I was leaving the show grounds I saw Robbie Coluccio in the schooling area helping a rider.  I couldn't leave without saying hello.  I love Robbie.  Robbie and Richard Cunkel are quite a team to contend with in the pony world.  Together they are helping Dr. Betsee Parker with her wonderful string of ponies.  They won everything there was to win at Middleburg Classic and continued on winning at the Indoor shows.  Those two boys are something else.  Congratulations to that entire team !

I must say - as amazing as Grand Prix Village is, to me Caroline's "neighborhood" is much more appealing.  There is more privacy and seclusion - and an even better "ride" to the show grounds.  This is the ULTIMATE !!!   I'm not going to put any pictures of it because Carolina is very private.
