"Mock Horse Show" - January 21 at Amazing Grace Stable. Pre-entering required by Monday - January 16. Classes for Equitation on the Flat and Over Fences. We are now accepting applications for Summer Working Students. Housing for horse and rider available for a few.

We have been blessed with the weather so far this winter. This past weekend was in the 70's. And December was more like fall than winter. Wonderful. But I have a feeling it's getting ready to change.

Elizabeth is spending a few days with us and we are all so happy to see her. What a precious young woman. We celebrated her 20th birthday with her last night and had so much fun. We had an Italian dinner, played board games, watched movies and made the ridiculously fattening Monster Cookie. It's a giant chocolate chip cookie, topped by a gallon of vanilla ice cream, totally covered in whipped cream (twice) and finished off with chocolate syrup. Oh my goodness - rich, very rich.

Hunter and Ryann are big "golfers" now. Any chance they get they're on the golf course. It beats paint ball, that's for sure. Golf is much better - and it's something that I can do with them - occasionally. It's sure more "strenuous" than it looks. I'm only good for around seven holes right now but I guess that's a start. For my birthday they took me out for lunch, then golfing, then dinner. By the end of the seven rounds I was ready for bed - but Ryann had the day planned from beginning to end. She's so precious.

Another beautiful day. Boy - this sure has been a different winter than the one we had last year. Hmmmm, I sure hope the worst is not yet to come.

We had so much fun at the barn today. It was so beautiful and peaceful. And I LOVE our horses so much.

Ryann has really been able to concentrate on Cody these past few weeks. He is really starting to figure it all out. He's such a beautiful mover and he's learning to go around like a big boy. He even did a lead change today after finishing a line. Ryann has done a great job with him. She's been patient and has given him the time he needed to grow up a little. She loves that horse !!!

We are changing the Horse Show Clinic to Sunday, January 29, starting at 1:00. Glenn Moody will be the judge/clinician. Space is limited so if you're interested email me at amazinggraceva@aol.com. $25 to Audit.

Ryann and I are excited because we are going to head down to Ocala for at least one weekend when Lucy is there. It's going to be so much fun. I'm proud of Lucy. She is riding so good, and Lenny has been a perfect horse for her. She comes out to the barn and does her "homework" with Lenny. I'm sure it gets a little lonely for her without her buddies Sam and Brittany. But she is working hard at it and learning to be a good little horsewoman. We will all have a great time in Ocala with Don and Bibby. How can you not have a good time when you're with Don Stewart. He is so much fun. I can't wait !!!

We spent some Jesus time today at a beautiful little prayer house called LHOP. It's off of Warwick Blvd. It use to be the Poor Clares Monastery. It is a wonderful place to read the Bible, sing worship songs, and just give God some gratitude time. We all loved it.

We just found out that the River Birch horse shows are on Saturdays so we plan to head that way on January 28th. Be sure to let Ryann or me know if you want to go because trailer space is limited.

A FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY

In Florida, an atheist created a case against Easter and Passover Holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians and Jews and observances of their holy days. The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days.

The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring, "Case dismissed!"

The lawyer immediately stood and objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor, How can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays..."

The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. Your client, counselor, is woefully ignorant."

The lawyer said," Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists."

The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fool’s Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that, if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day.

Court is adjourned..."

You gotta love a Judge that knows his scripture!
